I used the 40mm by 20mm metal bases for my mounted hearthguard in Saga. I made magnetic "painting handles" from #6-32 3" long screws and a countersunk 15mm magnet, which hold the figures securely while I give them a vigorous dry-brushing. I can also safely transport the finished figures in a magnetic sheet lined storage box. Altogether excellent.
